Kavala, Greece


Kavala is a city located in the northeastern region of Greece, specifically in the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. It is situated on the Aegean Sea and is the second largest city in the region after Alexandroupoli.

Kavala has a rich history dating back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlement in the area as far back as the Neolithic period. Over the centuries, Kavala has been ruled by various powers including the Persians, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, and Bulgarians.
